Life's been too good and God has been too good to me that I don't even need to write on this blog anymore. Just joking...half-joking. God has been good to me, that's true. I haven't written on this blog because I have been lazy, and didn't have interesting things to say.
So today I went to brunch with some cool friends and surprisingly, we talked a bit of relationship stuffs. Just sharing our point of view, well, more like I was sharing MY point of view.
(by wongfuproductions)Stage 1 Meeting – First time you saw each other
Stage 2 Chase – Getting to know each other
Stage 3 Honeymoon – In relationship where you can do anything you want as a couple
Stage 4 Comfortable – Comfort youfeel when your together
Stage 5 Tolerance – Excuses make to make distance
Stage 6 Downhill -the effort to try to make things wok
Stage 7 Breaking up – Better to end it all.
"How long would you wait to go out with the other person?"
or
or
"How long does it take to go from stage 2 to stage 3?"
Well, honestly I have no idea. When the right time has come? When you know enough about the other person? Few months? A year?
It depends. I think most people will start dating each other when they got that 'burning-hot-fresh-from-the-oven' feeling. When you are attracted by each other; that feeling of 'I want you to be mine'. But the thing is, at that point, how much do you know about that person yet? Certainly, at this point, you've went out a few times together, and are strangers no more. You feel good around him/her and you just want to be together as soon as possible. You can still get to know each other more while being in a relationship. Two results for that; 1. Relationship gets better and better! or 2. It gets worse.
We all want it to end with the first one but sometimes, it ends with the second. That's why I would want to wait a bit more before dating.
Some might say "If you wait a bit more, you'll get friend-zoned!". I totally agree with that! But have you ever thought, if you have a chance of getting friend-zoned, then that person probably wasn't meant for you anyway, and your relationship wouldn't last long. Just go look for another one! I just think that, if there is that mutual feeling between you and that person, no matter how long you wait, it will still happen.
Also, I find that guys nowadays give up so easily. One rejection from a girl and they give up. Instead they go for the easy ones. Seriously? Can't you prove to the girl that you are worth it? Can't you prove to the girl that you are different from the others? Among all the guys I've heard of, only one never gave up and ended up getting the girl he wants after quite some time. I truly respect him. People tend to rush things a lot nowadays, but hey, patience is a virtue (so cliché, I know).
This is all just from my own point of view and I'm not saying everything here is true. You can never know what will happen ahead of time and life is full of surprises! Do whatever you feel like it, but whatever happens in the end, just don't let yourself regret anything.
Btw, I'm not someone who's waiting for my Mr. Right because that's ridiculous. You will never end up with the person that you've been imagining for so long, the so-called 'ideal' guy/girl. Perhaps you will, if you are lucky enough, but 'luck' seems to dislike me, so I'll be more realistic. I'm just waiting for someone who will respect, accept, and love me the way I am without any judgments. A man's personality is much more important than his appearance. And of course, it has to have that mutual feeling. (This is so bullshit, I am waiting for my Mr. Right)
